Not sure if there was an 'old' dining room, but we took the rest of the L-shaped room that we put the pocket doors in, to create the Dining Room. It also was the entrance to the conservatory, so we had to figure out how to close it off, but still let the light in. So, we added some doors and are in the process of putting in a window instead of sliding glass doors.

This is also an entrance to the conservatory ( we turn it into the gym) but it is cleverly hidden with boxes. There were no doors, just an opening
The custom window isn't ready yet, I'll post pics when it is installed somewhere around the end of April
